On Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. Professor of Organ Dr. Judy Congdon will present a recital in Wesley Chapel on the Houghton University campus. The program features work by J.S. Bach, César Franck, 19th-early 20th century American composers John Knowles Paine and Clarence Dickenson, and 20th-21st century Houghton composers William T. Allen and Gloria Huizenga.

The Holtkamp organ in Wesley Chapel, installed in 1962 under the leadership of college organist Dr. Charles Finney and college president Dr. Stephen Paine, has inspired generations of organ students, visiting concert organists, worshipers, and listeners. This program will invite us to thankfully remember the “great cloud of witnesses” connected with the Holtkamp organ in Houghton's history.
