City Year is education-focused nonprofit that partners with local schools to help students and schools succeed. Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members serve in schools as student success coaches, helping students build on their strengths and cultivate social, emotional, and academic skills that are important in life. This helps students stay in school and on track to graduate as well as prepare them for college, career, and life.

City Year provides paid service years to young adults interested in helping communities. In addition to gaining real world skills, our AmeriCorps members receive biweekly stipends, an education award worth $7,395, professional development trainings and more.
